PROCESS
Step 1
RIGHT ESTIMATE
A good estimate is essential for a smooth move. The work volume helps decide the number of movers, truck size, and packing materials needed. Distance to the truck and elevator availability also impact the estimate. This can be done on-site or over the phone.
Step 2
PACKING
Items should be compact and well-protected. Furniture is wrapped, clothes are hung in wardrobes, and kitchenware is carefully packed. Small boxes are best for books. The company isn’t liable for damage to customer-packed items.
Step 3
LOADING
Loading is technical. Boxes and wardrobes go first, followed by large furniture. Fragile items are placed snugly to avoid damage. Customers should not assist in loading for safety reasons.
Step 4
TRANSPORTATION
Trucks are driven at safe speeds, with no customer passengers allowed. Traffic may impact time, and trips over 10 miles are charged double-drive rates. Drivers cannot use phones while driving.
Step 5
UNLOADING
Unloading is quicker than loading. Items are placed in their designated spots, and customers can help unwrap. Furniture should not be dragged to avoid damage. Customers should inspect the truck and belongings after unloading.

Proper equipment boosts efficiency. 2-Wheeled dollies handle small to medium items, while 4-Wheeled platforms move heavy items like pianos. Walls and floors should be protected, and color-coded stickers help with unloading.

Movers may take a 1-hour unpaid lunch break and short 10-15 minute breaks. Moving is physically demanding, and movers earn $16-$25 per hour, plus tips averaging 20% of the total.
